NASA astronaut gets to stay additional three months in ISS
WASHINGTON : American space company National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has decided that her Record-breaking astronaut Peggy Whitson will remain on the international space station until September. Peggy has arrived space station last November and was supposed to return the earth in june. But under an agreement between NASA And The Russain space Agency, Now she will stay another three months.
After receiving the information, he expressed happiness and she said that, “This is great news.I I love being up here. Living and working aboard the space station is where I feel like I make the greatest contribution, so I am constantly trying to squeeze every drop out of my time here. Having three more months to squeeze is just what I would wish for.
While talking about giving her this extension, Kirk Shireman, NASA’s International Space Station Program Manager, told the Media that,”Peggy’s skill and experience make her an incredible asset aboard the space station. By extending the stay of one of NASA’s most veteran astronauts, our research, our technology development, our commercial, and our international partner communities will all benefit.”
