New Delhi : To spread the AYUSH system of medicine on a global scale, the Central Government have been set up 26 AYUSH Information Cells in 24 countries. The aim behind the government is to promote and propagate the AYUSH system of medicine.
In written reply to a question in Lok Sabha on Friday, Central minister Shripad Yesso Naik said that 26 AYUSH Information Cells have been set up in 24 countries likes Malaysia, Trinidad & Tobago, Mexico, Cuba, Hungary, Russia (2 Cells), Indonesia (2 Cells), Mauritius, Slovenia, Sweden etc. This Cells are set up in foreign countries under the aegis of Indian Embassies, Missions and Cultural Centers set up by ICCR .
He said, that all Cells help in global promotion and propagation of AYUSH systems of medicine which would lead to signing of MoUs with foreign Governments, Universities,Institutes, for Country to Country cooperation in the field of traditional systems of medicine, setting up of AYUSH Academic Chairs and undertaking collaborative research.
