Dubbing Prime Minster Narendra Modi’s describing poll-related death during Panchayat election in rural Bengal as “murder of democracy”, ruling Trinamool Congress today said it was an “outburst of frustration”.
” Most of the murders and violence have been carried out by PM’s own party. (BJP state president has said ‘We will show them what violence is’). Let BJP control their own party first, ” TMC secretary general Partha Chatterjee said in a statement.
” They (BJP) are dismayed for failing to win in Karnataka. Without knowing the details, it does not behove the PM to make such comments,” Mr Chatterjee maintained.
” He should know that BJP goons killed 10 Trinamool workers in the Panchayat poll. No BJP worker was killed. On Wednesday repolling is being held in 568 booths. So why this fake news is spreading. Very unfortunate,” Mr Chatterjee added.
