Former central minister Yashwant Sinha on Sunday alleged that there was no democracy in today’s BJP. Mr. Sinha who came here with party’s Patna Sahib MP Shatrughan Sinha in a programme of Rashtra Manch, said that when he had joined party, there were great leaders like Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Lal Krishna Advani and there was democracy in the party which is not there anymore.
He said that today party was controlled by two people adding that he left the party so that he could speak his mind.
Mr. Sinha said that in coming Loksabha elections, people will vote on the basis of work done by Narendra Modi government during its five-year term and added that people were disappointed
as the promises made by Mr. Modi before elections proved to be empty promises.
He said that Mr. Modi was not an election issue, rising prices, unemployment, poverty & economy were real issues.
Replying to a question Mr. Sinha said, he had made it clear already that he would not involve in electoral or party politics adding that he would not join any other party.
